Lucknow: Renowned spiritual preacher Vinodanand Shastri Ji Maharaj emphasized the transformative power of devotion during the ongoing Shrimad Bhagavat Katha Gyan Yagya being held at the Shri Siddheshwar Mahadev Temple Park premises in Vastu Khand-III, Gomti Nagar. The nine-day religious event, which began on July 4, will continue until July 12.
The spiritual discourse is being led by Vinodanand Shastri Ji Maharaj of Naimish Chakra Teerth Dham, while the event is being organized with Lord Hanuman as the symbolic chief yajman and under the patronage of Shanti Devi Ji.
On the second day of the Katha, the revered storyteller captivated devotees with soulful devotional hymns. His rendition of “Racha Hai Srishti Ko Jis Prabhu Ne, Wahi Ye Srishti Chala Rahe Hain” filled the gathering with spiritual fervor. He later sang the devotional bhajan “Na Jaane Kaun Se Gun Par Dayanidhi Reejh Jaate Hain,” which drew an enthusiastic response from the audience, with devotees immersed in devotion and joy.
During his discourse, Vinodanand Shastri Ji Maharaj highlighted the importance of self-correction and repentance in human life. He said that making mistakes is part of human nature, but failing to acknowledge and rectify them can transform those mistakes into sins. Referring to the story of King Parikshit from the Bhagavata Purana, he explained how Parikshit, influenced by the forces of Kali Yuga, incurred a sage’s curse and later sought redemption through spiritual guidance from Shukdev Ji Maharaj.

The spiritual leader described devotion as the finest investment a person can make, stating that sincere bhakti not only provides solutions to life’s challenges but also paves the way to ultimate liberation. “Devotion is a path that offers peace in this world and salvation beyond it,” he said.
The event witnessed a large gathering of devotees, who participated enthusiastically in the Katha, devotional singing, aarti, and worship ceremonies. Organizers said the remaining sessions of the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha will continue to focus on spiritual teachings, moral values, and the message of devotion and self-realization.
